3/24/24 Board Meeting Follow-up

Dear Neighbors,

We hope you have weathered the storms and are beginning to enjoy spring. SMMHOA board met on 3/24/24 and had a productive meeting about the financial picture, emergency communication, and future plans. Our treasurer reported that 95% of current dues have been collected and a clear policy has been adopted regarding past due accounts.

If you did not receive the Russian River Utility notices regarding water leak issues, safety protocols instituted and then lifted, (boiling water), please call or email RRU directly: 707-887-7735, rru@sonic.net. Make sure they have the correct address of your dwelling where they would post a notice. In our meeting, emergency/storm communication issues were identified and hopefully next time communication will be smoother. It’s a big challenge when power and cell service is down.

Below are some resources that we sent last summer to get financial help if needed for paying bills. In light of PGE rate hikes, there are several programs that can help and are relatively easy to apply for: Care Credit and Medical baseline. If you rely on a CPAP machine that would qualify for a discount.

SAVE THE DATE! July 6, 2024, was set for the annual SMMHOA meeting and barbeque. We will plan a Community Fire Safety brush clean-up day after that. It’s great to see people out there doing this on their own especially since so many people are losing property insurance!

Best,

SMMHOA Board of Directors
