Join The SMMHOA Board!
(Next board meeting 5/2/26 @11:00 am)
Dear Neighbors,
As part of the natural cycle of our HOA, several current board members are completing their full three-year terms. We are incredibly grateful for the time and care they have given to our community. With those terms coming to an end, we have a few upcoming openings on the Board. Our community thrives because of the people who care about it.
If you’ve ever wanted to have a voice in how things are run, help keep our neighborhood running smoothly, or simply contribute in a meaningful way, this is a great opportunity. Board service is a team effort, and responsibilities are shared and supported.
Here’s an overview of what each role involves:
President
Helps guide the overall direction of the HOA, facilitates meetings, and works with the board to keep things moving forward. Think of this role as a coordinator and leader, not someone doing everything alone.
Vice President
Supports the President and steps in when needed. A great way to stay involved and learn the ropes while helping where needed.
Secretary
Keeps things organized. Takes meeting notes, maintains records, and helps make sure everyone stays informed (including emails and notices).
Assistant Secretary
Supports the Secretary and helps ensure continuity. Perfect if you like organization but want a shared role.
Treasurer
Oversees the financial side of the HOA, tracking income and expenses, helping with budgeting, and providing clear updates to the board and community.
Assistant Treasurer
Works alongside the Treasurer and can step in as needed. A supportive role that helps share responsibility.
Member at Large
Supports the Board with a variety of tasks and projects as needed. This is a flexible role and a great way to stay involved and contribute without taking on a specific officer position.
Time Commitment
The Board meets once a quarter with occasional additional time for emails or small tasks in between. Most roles average just a few hours every few months
A few things to keep in mind:
You won’t be doing this alone, our board members collaborate and support one another
Board meetings are conducted in-person and via Zoom to accommodate those out of the area
Your input can directly improve our neighborhood
Not ready to join the Board? You can still help.
If you have specific skills like organizing, communication, finance, event planning, or general problem-solving and would be open to helping out occasionally, we’d love to hear from you. There are many ways to contribute without taking on a formal board position.
If you’re curious, interested, or just want to learn more before committing, please reach out to our Secretary at svradelis@gmail.com , we’d love to talk with you.
Reminder! All neighbors are welcome at the board meetings.
Even if you are not on the Board, you are always welcome to attend meetings, stay informed, and share your input. It’s a great way to see how things work and be part of the conversation. Please let us know no later than 24 hours in advance so we can accommodate you.
Next meeting dates:
- May 2nd , 11:00am
- June 13th, 11:00am
- July 11th, Annual meeting
Whether you have specific skills or just a willingness to help, your participation matters.
Thank you for being part of what makes this community a great place to live.
Warmly,
Your Sunrise Mountain Mutual HOA Board
